Step 4: Finalize It

Job Switch!

Switch to the final job you have not done yet! Continue to work together on your prototype. This is your last work day so be sure to wrap things up.

Show off your project!

As the project is nearing to an end, now is a good time to get started on thinking about how you will present your prototype. You can select a speaker or all talk about your project; it's your choice! Be sure to look over your journals to talk about your creation. Mention what problem it solves, how it would function and how you came about creating your object. You might want to write this down so you have something prepared for Day 5. All members should include their input in the summary, however, the journalist for today will be responsible for recording your summary.  After each group in the class shows their prototype and gives a small summary, you will leave your prototype on the table and check out your peer's work.

Not sure how to write and talk about your creation? Look at this creator who started a business after his passion for 3D printing!

Hint: Listen to how he talks about his product. What kind of terms does he use? How does his voice sound? You can incorporate some of these ways of talking into your final summary on Day 5!

Don't sweat it if your entire summary and presentation idea are not complete at the end of Day 4. You will have some time on Day 5 to finalize what you want to say before you start sharing and exploring your classmates' projects!
